We would like to thank the artist and teacher, Maris Platais for giving such a wonderful painting demonstration at the gallery, Sat. January 16th 2010.
A full capacity, standing room only crowd was delighted and watched intently while he painted from a blank canvas to a completed landscape sketch. Maris spoke clearly on how and why he was painting the way he was. Art is a magical thing. To watch a talented artist create something beautiful from nothing is magic.
